Welcome to the short journey through our village Dhron. Our wine-village offers a bit of everything for everyone. A nice place between Piesport and Trittenheim where the mosel-river forms a small loop. On a corase scale between Bernkastel-Kues and the famoue german city Trier. The name Neumagen goes back to the latin denotation "Noviomagus". Neumagen-Dhron is not only a famous destination for wine drinkers the country is also noted for its beauty and roman history. The wineship is the most common roman sculpture. It was made for a tomb of a rich roman wine-seller. It shows a war- and...respectively cargoship with four wine-barrels. The ship's crew consists of eight person - six of them on the rudder.
Dhron's valley is surrounded by the wineyards of Dhroner Hofberg. This wine-district yields exceedingly good white wine every year. The vines which are planted are Riesling and Rivaner.

Taking a walk along the vines is very nice, especially in autumn when the harvest-season of the vintager has begun. You're most welcome!
